To ensure Meredith can provide the most accurate and detailed swing analysis, please follow these filming guidelines:
Down-the-Line View (DTL):
Position the camera directly on your target line, approximately hand height, and far enough back to capture your entire club, body, and ball throughout the swing. The camera should be aligned with your hands at address, not the ball or feet, and pointed straight down the target line. Make sure the lens is level and not tilted. Film from face-on to your back side (looking down the line toward the target).
Face-On View (Front View):
Place the camera directly in front of you, perpendicular to the target line, again at hand height. The entire body and club should remain in frame during the full swing. The camera should be centered on your sternum or belt line, with the lens level and square to the ground.
General Tips:
• Use a tripod or stable surface
• Film in good lighting with a clear background
• Record swings at normal speed (no slow motion)
• Capture a few swings with the club you use most often
Following these guidelines allows Meredith to accurately assess swing mechanics, sequencing, and movement patterns for the most effective analysis possible.
